I thought this holiday was supposed to be good for couples. So far it's been really disappointing.

I'll be happy if I never have to hear "Valentine's Day" ever again.

[And boyfriends have been equally disappointing; she feels like she's barely seen him for days. Stupid Sokka and his stupid other-girl friends. Stupid holiday. Stupid- ... everything.

She'll be in her room sulking and wanting to punch things. And she might not respond right away, either- she has to have a conversation with a certain someone...]

Exactly. Hearing them brag about how great Valentines Day is just makes things worse for those of us that don't have anything going on.

Plus it's annoying.

[...Wow, she was strong. Not physically--though she was probably that, too--but she had a strong will. Even though things were against her, she knew what she wanted and didn't want to give up no matter how much the odds were stacked against him. Karol couldn't help but admire that.

[That took him by surprise. Partly because he wasn't expecting her to suddenly ask that, and partly because, well... He was going to ask that himself. She was right, it did feel weird to discuss this over the journals.]

People would complain if anyone told them off. There's a pretty huge sheep mentality with the journals, and sometimes people get too focused on what makes them happy to bother using tact.

[On the other hand, Suki will, jogging over and blinking at the bizarre amount of weird paintings. It sort of looks like one of Sokka's drawings.

...That leaves a sour taste in her mouth, so instead she focuses on Winry, lifting a hand to greet the other girl.]

Thanks. [Suki heads in after her, glancing around at the inside as well, intrigued as she looks for (and finds) a good spot to sit. It's a nice place, not what she expected at all when Winry had suggested the cafe. Maybe it's the style of a different world...?]

Great! I'll meet you there. [And she heads off to leave at once- she's feeling quite eager, curiously enough.]

Right! [And he closes the journal, heading to the rec center. He's excited to be meeting her. ...But also sort of nervous.
