Hmm... is this on? ....

Talking to a book just feels silly.

This is going to take a while to get used to, that's for sure. Oh, and this may be belated, but I do need to thank everyone who helped me out when I first arrived! Especially the author of that guide. I'd be asking so many more questions without that.

I do have one question, though... what does everyone do about the wings? Usually they don't bother me much, but it's hard to sleep with them. I never seem to rest well on my s- whoa!

[Suki is interrupted by a shrieking sound, and a sudden red flash over the journal's camera as she's divebombed. There's a moment of scuffling about.]

What in the- oh! ...Really? Let me see...

...Sokka? Someone's looking for you.

[So Suki can be found walking home from her trek around the lake, but she isn't coming home alone. She has a red-feathered bird on her arm, sitting all polite and pretty, but obviously somewhat unsettled. There's a message tube capsule on its back. Bother her?]

[Suki isn't sure she likes Hawky anymore either :| So she refrains from commenting. She'll withhold judgment. FOR NOW.

She follows him to the door, watching the bird go.]

... at least there's not too many places for him to get lost. [A sigh. Why couldn't Hawky love Suki too?]

[Huh? Oh, he finally notices Suki. And that she doesn't seem as remorseful about Hawky being gone. Yeah...]

What? Why? I thought you came to see me! [First Hawky, now Suki? He can't take this much heartbreak!]

You could give me a reason to stay. [This hint could only be more obvious if it was written on a baseball bat hitting you in the face.]

[Here, have a nice kiss without Hawky interference. Isn't it nice to not be ruffling any feathers?]

[It's a good thing Edward isn't here to lineface at them, right now. Smithies are not the place for public displays of affection (or for cooking according to Winry). After that tender, loving kiss...]

We really need to find somewhere more private, eventually. [After all, any one could walk in right now. ANYONE.]

I guess our house isn't very private. Poor Katara. [She doesn't really care if it grosses out Zuko and Aang, they need to grow up anyway |Db]

[He considers that.] Yeeeeeah, I'm starting to get this vibe that Katara isn't too thrilled, sometimes. I guess I can't blame her. If she had some guy she was with all the time... [Suki would probably lose Sokka, because he'd be too busy stalking Katara's boyfriend.]

Maybe we should tone it down around her for a while.

Yea, probably. We could always pitch a tent together, too. We have a few months before snow starts setting in, after all. That way we're not bothering anyone!

But then everyone would know what we'd be up to.

... By now, I kind of think they already know. [Well... Katara and Zuko definitely. For all he knows, Aang probably thinks that Sokka and Suki spend so much time in one another's rooms playing board games or something.]

I guess so. But if that's the case, why not just keep using our rooms? As long as no one comes in, it's okay.

Well... I guess we could do that. [But then they wouldn't be camping, just the three of them... Sokka, Suki, and Hawky.]

[HAWKY IS DEFINITELY NOT INVITED, SOKKA.] If you want to, we could definitely try it.

Why not? It's not like we don't have the time for it.

Well I do have a smithy to run. But... I can always take off for however long. [It's not like Edward didn't skip work for like three weeks being mallynapped and dead. And Winry skips ALL THE TIME.]

I think this place can look after itself now and then. After all, it's not that hard to just look around for your own weapons.

[Speaking of which, she needs to check for her katana again.]
