I thought this holiday was supposed to be good for couples. So far it's been really disappointing.

I'll be happy if I never have to hear "Valentine's Day" ever again.

[And boyfriends have been equally disappointing; she feels like she's barely seen him for days. Stupid Sokka and his stupid other-girl friends. Stupid holiday. Stupid- ... everything.

She'll be in her room sulking and wanting to punch things. And she might not respond right away, either- she has to have a conversation with a certain someone...]

[...Oh, damn, that's right. That would be... awkward, considering what just happened with Sokka. He thought it'd be pretty nice to work with Suki like this, but he doesn't want to make things more complicated for her...]

[...Wow, she was strong. Not physically--though she was probably that, too--but she had a strong will. Even though things were against her, she knew what she wanted and didn't want to give up no matter how much the odds were stacked against him. Karol couldn't help but admire that.

You don't meet many people like Suki, that's for sure...]

Hey... would it be alright if we met somewhere? To... talk about this some more. Using the journals is a little weird for this.

[That took him by surprise. Partly because he wasn't expecting her to suddenly ask that, and partly because, well... He was going to ask that himself. She was right, it did feel weird to discuss this over the journals.]

[Not quite the speed of sound, but she does rush over, curious and anxious to meet him properly. Hello, rec center, here she comes! Now where's Karol?]

[Why, he's just chilling on the couch, of course. You took a fair while, so he decided to take a seat, and he is unaware you are here.]

[In that case, Suki will head right over, standing beside the couch and peering over to get his attention.]

Karol?

[A voice! A familiar voice, at that! He turns his attention towards the source of the voice and-

...O-oh, it's Suki... Wow... She's even prettier face-to-face... Now he's all flustered.]

Oh, y-you're here!

[Aaahh, he's so cute! She finds herself smiling at once, offering out her hand.]

Yeah, I made it. It's nice to finally meet you.

[He takes her hand! Success!]

Yeah! It's really nice to meet you too! This sure beats just talking over the journal...

That's for sure. [Huh... he's even smaller in person. And this guy is the leader of a whole group in Luceti? That's... really amazing.] How long have you been here, anyway?
