Well... now that the draft is over, I think it's a good time to do this. Because of all the fighting we have do while we're here, either by choice or by force, it's a good idea to have some understanding of combat in case of an emergency. From what I heard about this last battle, even the people who took refuge weren't able to stay out of the fight. We can't really afford to take chances like that anymore, and I'd like to do something about that- so I have a proposal for the girls of Luceti.

First of all, I'm Suki. I know I look young, but where I'm from, I lead a group of girls known as the Kyoshi Warriors. We're well-trained in combat, and the focus of our style is a mix of defense, stealth, and using our opponent's strength against them. Girls are often smaller and not as strong as men, and it's very important to never view that as a weakness.

None of my warriors are here right now, but I want to start the group here anyway. There's no age limit, no experience needed, you just have to be willing to listen and learn. If you'd like to join, or ask me questions, please, let me know, okay? And if you don't want to get involved in my group, Buffy runs a fighting school as well, and I'm sure there's plenty of great teachers willing to help there, too.

I just don't want to see anyone else get hurt if it can be avoided, so... I hope you'll all think about it.

Well, I could, I guess. It's just, you know.... girl warrior time. Me? Not a girl... warrior. So I'm just kind of... keeping an eye on things. That's all. I don't want to give your new recruits the wrong idea.

[He'll finish his snack, toss it in the trash, then make his way down. Once he steps inside, he'll take a moment to admire the scenery, then step on over.]

[OH. Well, he is remarkably good at getting kisses. And returning them. The whole benefit of being engaged and all. After breaking from the kiss, he just slides his arm around her shoulder, casually.]

Sooo... have you thought about uniforms for all your new recruits yet?

[No complaints here, she'll just settle in and get cozy.]

I talked to a few of them. The girl who runs All Passions can sew requests, right?

[He idly plays with the tassel on her headpiece with the hand he has wrapped around her. The other one he kind of waves about as he talks.]

Well I know I didn't exactly talk to you or anything, but... I kind of told Shiki you might do something like this and if she could put some uniforms together.

Oh, you did? What did she say? [Hopefully they can work something out. She hadn't expected as many to join up, so she might have to make another request.]

Oh, she said she'd do it, of course. Yeah, it's all worked out. I just dropped a uniform off for her to use.

[... this might sound suspicious since he's never mentioned his uniform... and she's wearing her own right now.]

... it sort of um, showed up. I didn't really have a use for it, so... you know, it's just been under my bed. [For longer than she's been in Luceti, at that.]

Oh, you should have told me! We could have trained together.

[Though she's teasing, of course - mostly - it's just fun to play around with the fact that Sokka's still technically a Kyoshi Warrior.]

We can train together! Without the uniforms! Like, right now. Training, me without the uniform. It would work.

[He can usually take teasing but he does not want to be in a dress again!]

You didn't seem to mind all that strength and honour in the uniform when I told you about it that first time.

... well anyway, uniforms. She can make them. And I'll... I can help with the weapons. [Even if he won't be participating as a member, he's definitely going to help out in whatever way he can.]

Oh good, I was going to ask about that. I think we'll need more fans and shields than swords, though. A few of the girls already have weapons they're used to.

... hmm, I've never actually made fans.

[He'll just... have to take his own fans and figure out how to replicate them.]

I'm going to start everyone out with hand-to-hand combat, so you can take your time with learned how to make them.

[Hopefully he can figure it out. She's not sure how else to teach them, since she's best with the fans.]

You could always switch to making them into boomerang warriors. Or maybe some kind of... boomerang-fan.

I'm just saying... once a week, maybe every other week, I come in and show them a few moves. You know, kind of... up the diversity of their skills. I bet Kyoshi would've used a boomerang if she knew how.
