Hmm... is this on? ....

Talking to a book just feels silly.

This is going to take a while to get used to, that's for sure. Oh, and this may be belated, but I do need to thank everyone who helped me out when I first arrived! Especially the author of that guide. I'd be asking so many more questions without that.

I do have one question, though... what does everyone do about the wings? Usually they don't bother me much, but it's hard to sleep with them. I never seem to rest well on my s- whoa!

[Suki is interrupted by a shrieking sound, and a sudden red flash over the journal's camera as she's divebombed. There's a moment of scuffling about.]

What in the- oh! ...Really? Let me see...

...Sokka? Someone's looking for you.

[So Suki can be found walking home from her trek around the lake, but she isn't coming home alone. She has a red-feathered bird on her arm, sitting all polite and pretty, but obviously somewhat unsettled. There's a message tube capsule on its back. Bother her?]

[Oh Suki, you romantic. He's going to just disregard that shrieking, since Suki seems fine.]

Well if you're looking for me, you know where to find me. [Hint hint..]

[Oh that's really sweet, Sokka. Thanks for the sympathy. But she'll bite, since seeing his face will be much more entertaining.]

The smithy, right? I've been meaning to visit again anyway, so I'll stop by.

[It was a shriek of SUDDEN DELIGHT at thinking of being with Sokka.]

I'll be waiting for you. [Hmm, maybe he should get rid of Edward and Winry...]

[Good luck with that one, Sokka- you're on your own with that. Suki should be along in about an hour, stepping into the shop with the bird still in tow. Ding ding! You have a customer.]

[Sokka will be ready. He is, in fact, on the couch. He's even gathered some flowers while he had time. His tunic is a little more open than usual. Once he sees it's her, but without spotting the bird, he turns away from her before she can see.]

Hey Suki. Come to see me?

[Oh my, he got all trussed up just for her? How nice. She's a little baffled when he turns away, but whatever- with the door open, she stretches out her arm to let Hawky land on it again before she closes it.]

Of course. Why else would I be here?

Well we do have weapons here.

[He leans back on the couch, patting the seat next to him. Come on over, bb.]

That's not all you have. [Well alright, she'll come sit. But since Sokka isn't just familiar to her, he's getting another greeting: another shriek, one he might find familiar.]

Yeah well- [Wait. Shriek?]

[Sokka finally notices Suki has someone with her. That's... that's...]

HAWKY! [He holds out his arm for the bird, which immediately hops on over to his. Sokka then brings him close and strokes him under the beak.]

I can't believe the old guy actually brought him here!

[Yeah so much for that romantic encounter D| She expected this, though, so she lifts the message flap and pulls out a note.] I think he meant to bring this to you, but Luceti must have him pretty confused.

[Sokka blinks at the note. He raises his arm, causing Hawky to edge along his arm to his shoulder, so he can open up the note. He quickly reads it over and raises his eyebrows. What... the hell.]

... it's from Catherine. He says... the meteor rock is here. [Dryly:] And a box of tea leaves.

[Suki blinks at that, then giggles quietly.]

He's a strange guy, isn't he?

You're telling me. [Sokka folds up the note and then grins back up at Hawky again.]

Wow, if Hawky is here, that means Momo and Appa could be here too!

I think Appa would be hard to miss.

You say that, but we managed in the Fire Nation for months.

Luceti's a bit smaller than the Fire Nation, though.

... yeah, that's true. [Appaaaaaa ;_;]

Well, just because Hawky came first doesn't mean Appa won't. It must take a while to move a giant flying bison.

Yeah, well-- oh! [What was he thinking? He turns to Hawky.]

Hawky, this is Suki. She's one of us. Remember, you can deliver messages for her, but not for Katara. [He then leans over to Suki and whispers:] Katara stole Hawky without telling me.

[This face.] Stole him?

Yeah! She sent him off to the Earth Kingdom to deliver a message for Toph. And she didn't even ask! [And that was the last time he ever saw Hawky...]

[Oh, Katara. At least she did it for a good cause.]

The Earth Kingdom was probably pretty far away. Maybe it took longer than Katara thought it would? Or he couldn't find you on his way back. You moved around a lot.

He could have been lost, looking for us. Eaten by predators! Or stolen by some seedy merchant! [He looks over at Hawky and wibbles.]

Who knows what he went through before Catherine brought him here...
