This is going to take a while to get used to, that's for sure. Oh, and this may be belated, but I do need to thank everyone who helped me out when I first arrived! Especially the author of that guide. I'd be asking so many more questions without that.

I do have one question, though... what does everyone do about the wings? Usually they don't bother me much, but it's hard to sleep with them. I never seem to rest well on my s- whoa!

[Suki is interrupted by a shrieking sound, and a sudden red flash over the journal's camera as she's divebombed. There's a moment of scuffling about.]

[So Suki can be found walking home from her trek around the lake, but she isn't coming home alone. She has a red-feathered bird on her arm, sitting all polite and pretty, but obviously somewhat unsettled. There's a message tube capsule on its back. Bother her?]

Oh Suki! [He leans in to give her a kiss on the cheek, but Hawky starts flapping wildly and make a fuss and forces Sokka off.]

I have no idea! [Sokka just... stares at Hawky, who seems to be calm now.]

[And this time Hawky is even more aggressive, actually screeching at Suki this time. Sokka immediately backs off.]

Are you sure Hawky's not a girl?

Huh? Of course he is! The person I bought him from said so. He probably just likes his space or something.

Maybe you should send him off on a message run. [Before Suki has to smack a bitch.]

[He considers that. And Suki's expression. Yes, good idea!]

I'll just send him to Katara. [He takes out a pen and paper and writes the following: "Dear Katara! Hawky does not like Suki. I'm not sure Suki likes Hawky. Please add extra meat to dinner, Zuko eats way too much. - Yours, Sokka Thunderaxe" and then stuffs it in the capsule.]

Go Hawky! Deliver this to Katara! [... after Hawky does nothing, he realizes the door is closed. So he walks over to the door, opens it, and releases the hawk.]

[Suki isn't sure she likes Hawky anymore either :| So she refrains from commenting. She'll withhold judgment. FOR NOW.

She follows him to the door, watching the bird go.]

I'm sure he'll be fine.

[But if he does get lost... she won't lose any sleep.]

[Sokka watches with a twinge of sadness as Hawky disappears into the horizon.]

... at least there's not too many places for him to get lost. [A sigh. Why couldn't Hawky love Suki too?]
