Hmm... is this on? ....

Talking to a book just feels silly.

This is going to take a while to get used to, that's for sure. Oh, and this may be belated, but I do need to thank everyone who helped me out when I first arrived! Especially the author of that guide. I'd be asking so many more questions without that.

I do have one question, though... what does everyone do about the wings? Usually they don't bother me much, but it's hard to sleep with them. I never seem to rest well on my s- whoa!

[Suki is interrupted by a shrieking sound, and a sudden red flash over the journal's camera as she's divebombed. There's a moment of scuffling about.]

What in the- oh! ...Really? Let me see...

...Sokka? Someone's looking for you.

[So Suki can be found walking home from her trek around the lake, but she isn't coming home alone. She has a red-feathered bird on her arm, sitting all polite and pretty, but obviously somewhat unsettled. There's a message tube capsule on its back. Bother her?]

I'm pretty sure this is Hawky. He belongs to Sokka.

I didn't know Sokka had a pet.

Maybe he missed it too much to talk about it.

Maybe. I guess he doesn't have to miss it anymore.

I guess not. Sorry, I didn't introduce myself- I'm Suki. And you are...?

I'm sorry, just - Sokka's told me a lot about you.

I've heard about you, too. You work with Sokka in the smithy, right?

Yes. We've been co-workers for a while now. I'm so glad to finally speak to you.

It's a pleasure to meet you. So, is Sokka really the boss?

He has seniority, in a way, and I like to tell him when I won't be available, but it's not as if he can fire us.

He sure likes to boast about the place. It is a nice-looking shop, though.

Yes. It's become almost a second home by now.

I've only been there once. I'll have to visit more often. [Especially since her man works there.]

You should! Maybe we'll end up running into each other.

I'd like that! It would be nice to meet more people face to face.

Yeah, speaking over the journal isn't quite the same.

No reason why we can't meet outside of your job, either. I wouldn't want to interrupt your work.

Either way is fine. The smithy becomes really quiet a few weeks after the New Feathers stop coming in.

In that case, I'll have to stop by before the start of the month. That's usually when they start arriving, right?
