I thought this holiday was supposed to be good for couples. So far it's been really disappointing.

I'll be happy if I never have to hear "Valentine's Day" ever again.

[And boyfriends have been equally disappointing; she feels like she's barely seen him for days. Stupid Sokka and his stupid other-girl friends. Stupid holiday. Stupid- ... everything.

She'll be in her room sulking and wanting to punch things. And she might not respond right away, either- she has to have a conversation with a certain someone...]

[When Nan was been sent home, Karol was pretty crushed. Since that day, he's been getting over it. But man, then this happens. This... whatever it was. Sure seems like an experiment, with how people were acting. All this talk of love just felt like a cheap shot. Not only was the girl he loved gone just shortly before it, but the only other girl he really liked, that he spent this day with last year was gone, too!

Because of that, Karol was mostly avoiding the journals, just checking once in a great while to see if anything IMPORTANT actually happened.

Now was one of those times. He skimmed through the journal, when he saw Suki's picture. Wasn't she Sokka's girlfriend? Why was she upset over Valentine's Day? Shouldn't it have been a good day for h--

...Sokka, you ass. That's terrible. Really terrible. You should be ashamed.]

...Yeah, you said it. Worst holiday ever!

[And Suki... has been absent for some time. Why? Because she had a little chat with her boyfriend.

...Ex-boyfriend. So she's been crying for a while.

By chance she hears the voice over the journal, and though normally she would have ignored it while in such a state, something about it... pings her. Strange.

Wiping at her eyes, she tugs the journal down to check it. Someone she doesn't know is agreeing with her? He must be going through something terrible, too...]

Y... yeah. It leaves out the people who don't have anyone...

[That tone in her voice... It's one he can definitely recognize. He sounded like that himself not too long ago. He still felt like that...

He hadn't planned on chatting it up with someone over the journal, really, but, for some reason... he felt like he shouldn't stop communications. It felt kind of nice to have someone who understood...]

Y-yeah... It really just kinda hurts, having it shoved in your face like this.

[There's a knock on Suki's door. Sokka had been putting this off all day, because he knew that this wasn't going to end good. Not remotely good. He felt like such an ass for what he was doing, but putting it off anymore would be even more cruel. The sooner it was done and over with, the better. Right?

She'll be...closing her journal before she accidentally turns on the voice function. It'd probably be best to avoid Suki for a while, for the sake of Suki's emotional health and her own physical health.

She does feel a bit guilty. But...this is for the best. The way Sokka felt...this had to end sometime.]
