We've been getting an awful lot of rain this month so far, haven't we? Was it this bad last year?

Speaking of "year"... getting pretty close to my first, now. A lot has happened to make it feel a lot shorter than it is. I guess it took me by surprise...

Hey everyone, just a quick announcement:

Be sure to put in some extra practice today if you can, because tomorrow I plan on running a private tournament between you all to see how you're doing. It's hand-to-hand only, so you can use whatever techniques you've learned so far. Get a good night's sleep the night before, okay?

Next week I'd like to try some acrobatics, so we'll meet in the Battle Dome.

[Suki is out and about today, picking some stuff up at the plaza, checking on the status of the uniforms, and hiding out in one of the shops when the rain hits. Otherwise, housemates can find her at home- probably soaked to the bone when she arrives, poor thing.]

I don't know. Honestly, I hadn't really fought that many monsters until then. I'm used to only fighting other people.

No, it was fine! Nothing too serious happened. I think the monsters were held back by the same safety features the dome has.

Actually, it can! I've fought Fire benders in the dome before, during my practice sessions. It's really handy.

Oh- on my world, there are people who can control fire and use it when they fight. They're called fire benders. There's benders for the other elements as well- earth, water, air.

If I remember it right, every nation's bending had an animal that their bending element came from. The Fire Nation had dragons, the Earth Kingdom has the badgermoles, Airbenders use Sky bisons, and... actually, I'm not really sure about the Water Tribe. I should ask Katara...

They're under a curse that when they get splashed with cold water, they turn into animals. I never realized how awful that must be until I was stuck myself. Now I feel bad.

They fell into a cursed spring in China. Shampoo lives there but I'm still not sure why Ryoga was there. Probably got lost.
