We've been getting an awful lot of rain this month so far, haven't we? Was it this bad last year?

Speaking of "year"... getting pretty close to my first, now. A lot has happened to make it feel a lot shorter than it is. I guess it took me by surprise...

Hey everyone, just a quick announcement:

Be sure to put in some extra practice today if you can, because tomorrow I plan on running a private tournament between you all to see how you're doing. It's hand-to-hand only, so you can use whatever techniques you've learned so far. Get a good night's sleep the night before, okay?

Next week I'd like to try some acrobatics, so we'll meet in the Battle Dome.

[Suki is out and about today, picking some stuff up at the plaza, checking on the status of the uniforms, and hiding out in one of the shops when the rain hits. Otherwise, housemates can find her at home- probably soaked to the bone when she arrives, poor thing.]

... Where did you even learn about pirates from? Being a pirate is about way more than just stealing.

What else is there to it? On my world, stealing is all that pirates ever seem to do.

Well it's a lot different on my world!

On my world being a pirate means you get to go out to sea and make tons of new friends! You get to visit all kinds of really cool places, and the adventure of doing it all and not knowing what's coming next is so amazing.

Ahh. Just thinking about it makes me miss home a little more.

So you're just adventurers on the ocean? That doesn't sound so bad.

Oh, no. We still steal stuff! That's just not all we do.

I still can't approve, then. A thief is a thief, even if he has friends! You should live honestly.

But I'm already almost halfway to the place I need to be to become Pirate King!

I need to get to the island the Pirate King left his treasure on! If I said across the whole ocean and get to it, I'll become the new one.

What, taking his treasure means you get his title?

Dummy? Who would assume that some pirate just leaves their loot somewhere for other people to steal it?

He wasn't just some pirate, he was the strongest one!

Before he was executed he said he left all of his treasure in one place. And people now call the treasure "One Piece"! Tons of Pirates are trying to get it, but there can only be one real Pirate King!
