Attention, Kyoshi Warriors! Since none of us seem to remember what happened last weekend, I want this Sunday's meeting to be twice as long so I can teach you what you missed. If you can't stay the extra time, let me know and we'll get some extra practice time in during the week.
To anyone out there who doesn't know what the Kyoshi Warriors
are: because of the chances of people living in Luceti getting drafted into the Third Party battles, it's better if everyone has at least a basic ability to defend themselves. That's what it means to be a Kyoshi Warrior here- I teach a group of girls both simple and advanced techniques for using an opponent's strength against them, to take them down or to give yourself time to escape. It's great practice and really builds up your skills to work with a group, even if you already know how to fight.
Our numbers are getting pretty low these days, what with people getting sent home so often. If you're interested in joining, let me know- we'd be happy to have you!
[After that, it's date time for Sokka and Suki. But today's date is rather... unorthodox, at least to those not "in the know". It seems to be a game of tag - they're chasing one another literally all over the village, switching who chases whom at varying intervals. Whoever is being "chased", however, is armed with a pair of fans, and whoever is "chasing" carries with them a wooden sword. The round ends when one is hit anywhere on the body by the sword (weapon-to-weapon contact doesn't count), at which point they switch. It's a perfect opportunity to practice with weapons they don't normally practice with, and to them, it makes a lot of sense.
To an outside observer, however, it probably looks more like they're trying to kill each other. Couples counselling may be required...!]
[This is a joint post between Sokka
markofthewise and Suki
kyoshi. Action tags will go in the order of You > Sokka > Suki. Feel free to interrupt them anywhere! The voice part is Suki-only, though.]
