Hey everyone, just a head's up that Sokka and I will be unavailable for a few days. We should be back sometime next week, so don't worry.

Kyoshi Warriors, if you could check in and let me know you're alright, I'd appreciate it, especially after that last experiment. I'd like to make sure we still have a full roster of members. This Sunday's practice is cancelled since I'll be out of the village, but don't slack off on your training, okay?

Oh, and if anyone is curious, the Kyoshi Warriors of Luceti are a group of girls learning self-defense and stealth combat techniques. If anyone is interested in joining or finding out more about the group, I'd be happy to answer any questions!

[With that, Suki makes herself busy with some packing. She'll make a round to all of her housemates first to let them know she and Sokka will be AWOL, then it's off to the smithy, backpack in hand, to ninja-kidnap her unsuspecting fiance.]

[Well, it's a good thing he's just washing up and not sharpening something, because otherwise she wouldn't be able to sneak up behind him and get her hands around his head- one covering his mouth, the other his eyes. She leans in, voice low.]

[His first response is actually to attack back. Okita Souji has seen to it that he's not quite so easy to sneak up on. But he's also learned enough self discipline that the moment he hears Suki's voice, he's able to stop himself from doing anything.

In other words, he tenses up immediately, but relaxes when he figures out who it is. No resistance.]

[Even on an anniversary getaway, two people can't spend every waking moment together. Or, well, perhaps they could, but it might get tiresome after a while. Today, Sokka's off keeping himself occupied for a while - hunting, or sleeping, or fishing, whatever - so Suki's decided to indulge herself in a nice, warm soak in the hot spring water. That's where she'll be when Masaomi arrives.]

[Kiyoshi warriors huh? She liked the sound of that, it almost reminded her of her classes at Waverly but it couldn't hurt to learn different techniques right? And she was only familiar with sword work...and without her sword that was pretty useless.]

What kind of self defense do you learn with the Kiyoshi warriors? Do you cover hand to hand combat at all?

Our technique has a few layers to it; we start with hand to hand, then work our way up to weapons. Traditionally the Kyoshi Warriors use fans and katanas to fight.

That sounds like a good regimen. I studied sword work in the College but we didn't cover any other types of combat.

About your Kyoshi Warriors group, what would be available to those that have combat experience already? [ Tenten's been fighting for about a decade now. She's sure she's beyond the point where she's a beginner, but, an all female group was too tempting to pass up. ]

I've had experienced fighters join the group before, and it's not a problem. Here in Luceti our main function is to give us girls a group where we can learn and grow stronger together. I think everyone has something they can learn as well as something they can teach, no matter how experienced they already are.

I'm fine. I'm just glad that most of the things I had from last week disappeared. [Except for things she picked up during the week, like the handgun from the smithy. ...She should probably return that, but she kind of doesn't want to touch it.
